Not sure where I'm going with this

I find it difficult to blog exactly what I want to say because it requires transparency. There's always some editing here and there, till what I've written is just a shadow of what I wanted to say. I'm sure this is human nature in general, tailoring our opinions and sentiments, exposing who want to be, or who want to be seen as, rather than who are (myspace, facebook, etc.). Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that I don't want to do that in this blog. I'm going to try my best to be as forthright and real as possible. I'm going to take advantage of this extra credit assignment and challenge myself in a new way: to be fully present and to fully disclose(within the lines of reason of course). :)

All that being said, I'm kind of excited about Biblical Heritage. I look forward to studying the Bible, and learning the historical contexts of stories I thought I already understood. I want to learn and to be able to take something with me from this course. By the time December rolls around, I want to have experienced some kind of epiphany(anything really): a better way of reading the Bible, a better understanding of who God is, who God wants to be, and/or a refinement in my way of thinking. 'All this from one course?', you ask(or maybe that's just me asking myself). It's possible. So much Bible studying is bound to do some good.

Till the next post....
